A couple of members had noticed that we were shut down
most of Halloween. Spooky, huh? Well, AOL complained that we were
spamming them and that forced us to shut down and find the spammer.
No biggie but it screwed up my schedule yet it also made me find 200
designs I had considered lost forever. All Ryan's work.

Docs give me a big needle in my spine. I
feel good for a couple of days. Then...not even worth talking
about it.
The new admin has innstructed me to stop
posting PayPal buttons for SHOPPERS. He has his own method for that.
So, if you want to purchase a design that has no button, email me. I
will send along further instructions and the price. The hand-over of
the Board is still in progress - I'm still your friendly Admin. :}

Quick update. Health Issues: MRI
has been moved up to June 5th. MDB Issues: The New
Computer is now online. I have begun drawing, converting and
posting new designs. But I work only the time my back allows - couple
hours every so often. Change of hands: I'm not ready to get
around to chat with all parties, yet. Besides, I am placing my focus
on restoring the Board to its former glory .. as it was before the
busted spine and lost computer. New Designs: I am posting the
June New Designs page now, but will add to it as I can during the
month. Pilgrim's progress, so to speak.

UPDATE- Personally;
I am no longer tied up in traction, but you'd laugh your butt
off at how slow I move. Of greater importantance;: there are new
members sending new designs. None of which can be re-drawn because
our main computer is gone 4 ever. But, I have now ordered a new one
and should be able to begin posting soon.
Get back on track. Sorry for all this. It will be better, I promise.
Concerns for the change of hands: I
am in talks with two parties about taking over my position here at
the Board. You know and trust both these men. AH, HA! you say, why
not Barbara or another gal? Because Barbara and Cathy are retiring
with me. 3 of us came in together - along with James and Lil Lou. So
the gals leave with me.

UPDATE - 2014 has been thus far a
nightmare over here. My mom's passing has little to do with the
issues, but some what. The real problem is that our main computer has
failed. It has been in the shop since the last week of January. The
mother board is trash and the drives are over heated. To extract the
data files requires a slow process of freezing the drive (usually in
a standard ice box) then removing what data possible before the drive
over heats again.
Why bother? Because I post only about
100,000 designs and about 8 gigs of other files online and save the
remaining 900.000 plus designs and data on the main computer until I
think it best to swap things around.
All these files may very well be
lost. Lost on my side, that is. Shelby or Barbara or other members
may have back ups. I am not sure. I have not posted or drawn or
designed anything since the computer has failed. It is also the only
computer I have CAD programs on.
I would like to give
all of you a heads up: I will retire soon. I know this comes
at a sensitive moment. It is not that I am throwing my hands up and
feel befuddled over this system failure; long-time members know we
faced more serious issues - many times - in the past. I am
growing old, have health issues and find myself less interested in
drawing than working my aquaponic gardens and solar arrays. And,
let's face it, My Drawing Board needs a new person at the helm.

Many of you have heard that my mom
suffered 2 strokes and is fighting against pneumonia for her life on
Long Island. I thank all of you who have sent their prayers, flowers
and support.
Because I am driving and flying back and
forth from S.C. to N.Y. I cannot preform all my duties here at the
Board. Some of the billing and all of the posting of news and designs
will need to wait.
Anyone willing - and able - to post
designs and do the HTML for this month contact me. I will get the new
designs to you for posting.
