Just a short note to supplement our last letter:

Was the day after that letter, and we decided to trek to sister Nan’s. She’s been asking us to come by. Cathy’s car was in the shop due to the tale of the last letter. The day was a beauty, the road nice and clear, in under 2 and half hours we’d surely be there. When from under the chaise there came such a holler, Cathy cried out and neither of us were jolly kind of fellahs. We stopped on the turnpike where everyone stared, some poked at the engine, some had other plans. Like who would tow us back to Kissimmee, or fix it right here - all Cathy and I wanted was a really nice cold beer. When finally Mike, a big strapping guy, pulled over his truck, smiled and said, “Hi. You’re problems are over, I’ll hitch you a ride. Won’t cost but a hundred, or maybe a hundred forty five.” So off to Kissimme we rode along with Mike, as he told us about his routine, and about his rifle, his pickup and his wife. Mike sure liked to talk! When finally back, we dropped the van off at Dodge then walked across the street to pick up Cathy’s car - lucky or what? They had just finished the repairs and their day.
