Another Day in Kissimmee, October 24, 2001

I'm sitting here suffering from my usual back-end ailment while thinking that everyone back in cold country figures Cathy and I spend all our time wading in the pool.  Can't say that we don't get to enjoy this summery weather or that we ignore the investment of the pool.  We ain't fools - or we'd be somewhere else. And that notion (and dream) of retiring, well, we retired from New York that's for sure.

On the contrary Cathy is very much involved with playing housewife.  Meanwhile, since I don't believe for a split second that what I have in NY will last forever - just consider the forces at play up north - I am working hard at bringing my Internet expertise down here as well as my artistic talents. Most of you know that you can view my daily artwork online at MyDrawingBoard.com 24/7 but not all of you know that my job calls for the production of 7 drawings everyday, day-in, week-out, and year round.  Just for the hey of it, I've printed today's work in the left margin of this letter.

Even before we go out to the hang-out I have to make sure there ain't any food going bad in the fridge.  If so, best I eat it now!

While we're out, the kittens take over the place.

As many of you know I'm seeing a Hypnotist.  Up in New York - or before the Republican's return to their beloved cold war and spending all our money on toys for war instead of balancing our budget sheets - I was scheduled to be hypnotised every 4 days for as long as it took to gain back my skill of forseeing the future, or as it's more actuately known - Scrying.  Well, no longer.  I am being taught how to hypnotize myself and it's as easy as saying RELAX, RELAX, over and over again until you're just completely relaxed.  Usually takes about 3 minutes.  If this is news to you, well' it's a long story and I'll tell you another time, but bottom line is that I am being treated to these lessons by a group of people who found out I have knowledge about future events - they found this out AFTER the events happened.  I didn't recall the "vision" all that well, the vision was in 1973, the event was almost 15 years later. So they had me tested for clairvoyance and now I'm trying to hone the skill ( so I can win next week's lotto. Giggle.)  I got this really great bumper sticker too!  DON'T ASK ME, I ONLY USE MY POWERS FOR GOOD. Yeah, right.  Anyway the power of suggestion is amazing once you get it right.  Lossing weight, building self confidence, stop smoking, are all very possible with this stuff.  Trying to do what I am trying to do, well, it's a bit more difficult but a lot more fun - that's for sure.  Once I get "relaxed" I then call a GUIDE - the hypnotist likes to call it a spiritual guide, but you know I'm not the spiritual guide-type-of-guy.  I like to call my very first teddy bear, Fluffy, to guide me along.  And together we take trips that must be like an LSD trip without the danger of blowing one's mind.  I'm enjoying this new found hobby but no matter how many times I ask Fluffy for the Lotto numbers, it (Fluffy) dosen't tell me anything.

But then again, Patrick is suppose to come on down here when Dawn returns to Virginia - refer to my last letter for details - and when Patrick does, we might just drive over to Pt. St. Lucie and save Nancy the trip over this way.  It's a 2 hour trek. We'll see when all this happens.

This pix over on your left has a tale to it.  Way back in the sixties my Dad had this guy Leo working for him.  Leo's wife was one to clean in such detail that she actually used a knife to clean under the moulding.  I'm pretty sure my Dad saw some credit in such nonsense and I thought Leo a slave driver or at the very best that his wife was looney.  Well, look at me, folks.  After 22 years of not owning a home and suddenly getting my dream house here I am doing just what Leo's looney wife did way back when. I still think it's a stretch, but I so love this house, the greatest effort is no effort at all.  And it's not just me, take a glimpse at Cathy over there slaving away at the runners for the sliding door!  If you study that pix you'll notice the 2 pair of sneakers outside the door.  I'm also wearing a good pair that I wear inside the house.  The green pair you see on the right are the outside sneakers and the black are for working around the yard.   Not the Joe I know, you say.  Well, it's not.  But when I'm "home" it's me alright.

Some of you know that Cathy has been wanting to get those "Easy-On" stick-ups sold by Village Graphics to place in our guest bathroom.  The stick-ups are of a beach scene and if she sticks them on the wall - centered on  the wall - and paints everything above the stick-ups sky blue and everything below the stick-ups sand colored then the bath will look as if you're craping on the beach. Well, we should have purchased the stick-ups when we first saw them because we can't find them anymore and Village Graphics doesn't read its email requests!  On the left is our bath showing the type of stick-up I'm referring to. But the scene is different.  If any of you should find such stick-ups please tell us where to get them.

No, Cathy hasn't found Catherine in the land of Myst as yet.  She tackles Riven pretty much on a daily basis, still me thinks she has a ways to go before winning at that game.  But, I have a good shot at winning myself $10 at FUNKY MONKEY an arcade game down at Cozy Corner - our hang-out and a Florida spin-off of the BayShore Hotel.  So far, I'm in first place and if I remain there for another 2 days, $10 bucks!

Well, thanks for your attention.  Cath and I will likely  send along some post cards over the next 2 weeks, but we'll be back to annoy all of you right before Thanksgiving.  Have a very jolly Halloween!
